About
The Gulf Stream Council, chartered in 1914, currently serves over 4500 Scouts and 2500 adult volunteers in a seven-county area, including Palm Beach, Martin, St Lucie, Indian River, Glades, Okeechobee, and Hendry counties in southeast Florida.
Scouting is a year-round educational program (for boys and girls, ages 5-20) designed to accomplish the aims of character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness through fun, adventure, service, achievement, and leadership training.
Scouting builds character and community through various activities, including camping, canoeing, hiking, sailing, community service projects, and more. These hands-on activities instill confidence, preparedness, and honor in our youth.
Scouting offers a unique experience for today's youth with four diverse programs,
- Cub Scouts (5–10 year old boys and girls)
- Scouts BSA (11–17 year old boys and girls)
- Sea Scouts (13-20 year old boys and girls)
- Venturing (13–20 year old boys and girls)
We invite all Delray Beach Chamber members to connect with local Scouting, whether you were a Scout as a youth or not! -
