DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Beach Dune Restoration Day with the Institute for Regional Conservation!\n\n\n\nYPAD is excited to partner with the Institute for Regional Conservation for a hands-on Restoring the Gold Coast event at Delray Public Beach on Saturday\, December 6 at 9am.\n\n \n\nHelp restore native beach biodiversity by planting native species and removing overgrown seagrapes that threaten the federally endangered Beach Jacquemontia   home to the largest remaining population in Palm Beach County!\n\n \n\nNo experience is needed   just bring your enthusiasm! Wear comfortable outdoor clothing\, closed-toe shoes\, and a hat\, and don't forget a reusable water bottle. We'll provide all tools\, gloves\, and materials.\n\n \n\nBring a friend and be part of protecting our coastal ecosystem!\n\n\n\nRSVP encouraged. We seek to protect - and restore - viable populations of all native plant and animal species within key regions by designing conservation strategies powered by rich\, geographically-distributed data. Our approach adds critical value to traditional conservation strategies focused on charismatic animals or species with small global ranges. This work is especially important in regions of the world where rapid fragmentation of habitats has been experienced\, or is expected. For more than two decades we have focused our field work in Florida and the Caribbean\, but we are also engaged in high-level dialog on ecological restoration and biodiversity targets more broadly around the world.
