DESCRIPTION:"Introduction to Eating Disorders & Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness"\n\n\n\nSPEAKER:\n\nSharon Glynn\, LPN\, Director of Programming \n\n\n\nAfter a rewarding career as Vice President and Manager of the Legal Department for AllianceBernstein Investment Management in New York\, Sharon and her family relocated to South Florida in 2001.  Soon after\, she returned to school to study Nursing and in 2004 became licensed by The Florida Board of Nursing.\n\n \n\nAs the Director of Programming for The Alliance\, she schedules and presents information to middle schools\, high schools\, colleges/universities throughout the state. In addition\, Sharon presents on a variety of issues related to eating disorders targeted to staff at community agencies\, county facilities\, healthcare sites\, and treatment facilities. Sharon offers referral assistance to patients and families seeking treatment centers\, therapists\, nutritionists\, and medical doctors treating eating disorders.  She conducts individual peer support and co-facilitates a weekly Support Group for female adolescents ages 14-18. \n\n \n\nSharon is also responsible for directing our intern\, field study\, and volunteer programs. She works closely with many local colleges and universities to offer opportunities for students to gain insight into the field of eating disorders.\n\n \n\nMarketing the many community services of The Alliance and networking with other healthcare professionals\, in the mental health arena and in the community-at-large\, is another area of her responsibility as the Director of Programming.\n\nOpen to all Delray Chamber Members and Invited Guests\n\n\n\nThank you to Cuti & Associates for Sponsoring Breakfast!
