DESCRIPTION:Guest Speaker Richard C. Wood\n\n \n\nRichard Wood lives with his wife in Ocean Ridge.  During the Past 12 years\, he and his partner have sold over $50\,000\,000 worth of products on QVC.  \n\n \n\nAfter graduating from college in 1968\, Rick began his career in the construction industry beginning with the Formica Corporation\, then McGraw Hill and finally Laticrete International\, the worlds largest manufacturer of installation materials for Ceramic Tile and Natural Stone.   He was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the company.  \n\n \n\nHe retired from corporate life in 2002 and began a new career selling products on the world's largest shopping channel\, QVC.   From the time of his idea to the first on-air experience\, took 25 months.  With 3500 units in QVC's warehouse\, he sold 7000 units before they could get him off the air.  The rest is history.\n\n \n\nDue to a rather fortuitous meeting two years ago\, he partnered with a local agency selling products to Sam's Club\, Cosco\, Walmart\, Home Depot\, Lowes\, Bed Bath and Beyond and other big boxes.  Rick represents their products to QVC.\n\n \n\nHowever\, people bring us products all the time.  They may or may not be right for Television.  But they may be right for one of the big boxes.  We "hook them up" with the agency and it is off the races.   For the right product with the right presentation\, the volume can be huge   on Television or in one or more of these huge stores around the country.
